A Family Company

HCM Diamonds is a family business run by Pankaj Maniar and his daughter in law, Harvinder C. Maniar. The inception of HCM Diamonds happened in the year 1971 in Mumbai, India when at a very young age Pankaj started working in the diamond industry. His first job was working in a diamond manufacturing factory where he transformed freshly mined gems into finished and polished diamonds. That was followed by diamond grading/sorting work. His career took off from there and soon he was running his own diamond business. He became a well reputed, trusted and respected professional with clients coming to him for his quality diamonds and custom jewelry.

In the year 1998 chasing the American dream, Pankaj and his family moved to California. Once in CA, he pursued a different line of work but still stayed close to his passion for diamonds and continued making custom jewelry pieces.

Pankaj’s daughter in law – Harvinder was always fascinated by their family background of being in the diamond industry. Harvinder has a background in Science with a degree in Bioengineering from UC Berkeley. Her curiosity lead her to learning more about diamonds, the 4C’s and creating beautiful jewelry pieces. She called it ‘The Science of Diamonds’ and was thrilled to re-establish the jewelry business with her father in law in the United States. Combining Pankaj’s expertise/passion and Harvinder’s zest to revive and re-establish the family business, HCM Diamonds was officially conceived in early 2014.

Today, as HCM Diamonds, we operate with a transparent business model that creates tremendous value for our customers. We bring value by eliminating the many middle layers and working directly with the diamond and jewelry manufacturers. Majority of our pieces are handmade with love and utmost attention to detail. In addition, operating without the overhead costs of a showroom enables us to pass on the savings to our clients purchase without sacrificing the quality. Our jewelry designs range from classics, to traditional, to fashion, and to one of a kind custom, which is our specialty.
